What makes Spanish hard to transcribe

Spanish spelling maps closely to sound, which makes it one of the more reliable languages to transcribe. The friction is regional: Caribbean and Andalusian speakers routinely drop syllable-final s, so 'los libros' can arrive sounding like 'lo libro', and the model has to restore what was never said.

One of the most reliable languages overall, thanks to consistent spelling and large training coverage. Caribbean speech with heavy consonant dropping is the main exception.
